Yoga Class Descriptions

Very Gentle Yoga for Healing – Mondays 4-5:15 p.m.

This is a super gentle class geared towards those recovering from injury or surgery, loss, or trauma, or who have some major limitations or special needs.  It is also great for those who simply want a very gentle nurturing class.  Chairs are available for those who are unable to get down on to the floor.

Beginner Mixed Levels – Mondays 5:30-6:45 p.m. 
This class provides an evening option for both beginners, continuing beginners and advanced beginner levels.  The class and instruction is geared towards those in attendance and typically includes both new and continuing students.

Mixed Levels Vinyasa – Tuesdays 5-6:30 p.m.
A more challenging class for experienced students featuring a good amount of vinyasa (posture flow) including sun salutations, inversions, arm balances and more challenging sequences in addition to some deep holdings and stretches.  Typically a challenging, arming practice.

Mixed Levels Yoga – Wednesdays 9-10:30 a.m. and Fridays 8:15-9:45 a.m.
This class is geared towards students with some experience in yoga and includes deep stretching and some flow.  Continuing beginners who are agile and connected to their bodies can be accommodated in this class as well.   Options are offered in the postures so you can work at your level.

Gentle Yoga – Wednesdays 4-5:15 p.m
This is an internal, meditative class for students with some familiarity to yoga who want a gentle class.  Beginners can be accommodated in this class as well.  The class is geared towards those in attendance and focuses on deep stretching, opening, and strengthening with beginner to advanced beginner balance postures.
